The Franklin Institute is closed annually on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Franklin Awards Day. The date for Awards Day varies each year but falls in late April.

Note: The Franklin Institute is open on Independence Day, July 4, 2009, but Galileo and STAR TREK will close at 5:00PM.
