Q. Is the Museum accessible for guests with special needs?

A. The Museum is completely accessible for wheelchairs and scooters. For more information, please visit our Special Needs page.

 

Q. Do you offer group rates?

A.Yes! For the general museum as well as special exhibits, please see detailed information here.

 

Q. Is photography allowed in the Museum?

A. Photography is permitted and welcome in most exhibits. Some special exhibits come with restrictions, though, and we ask that you honor those restrictions when/where posted.

 

Q. What is the clearance in your garage?

A. Our Parking garage fits vehicles that are less than 6'3".

 

Q. Is it necessary to purchase Museum Admission tickets in advance?

A. There is no need to purchase individual tickets to the general museum in advance. If you are planning on bringing a group of 15 or more, discounts are offered. Please call our Reservations Department at 215.448.1200 for more information, or visit our Group Information page.

 

Q. Can I purchase Gift Certificates?

A. Yes! Gift certificates are available for purchase in any denomination. You may call 215.448.1254 or come into the museum and purchase them at the Box Office. Please note that the gift certificates are only valid for ticket purchases, not in the Sci-Store or Ben's Bistro and Cafe.

 

Q. Do you have a lost and found?

A. Yes. Contact our Guest Services Department at guestservices@fi.edu or 215.448.1285.

 

Q. Do you have an ATM?

A. Yes. It is located in the Main Atrium behind the Membership desk.

 

Q. How do I apply to work at The Franklin Institute?

Q. Can I leave the museum and come back later on the same day?

A. You will be given a wristband after you purchase your tickets that will permit you to leave and re-enter the Museum on the same day.

Q. Do you have tours or audio guides for the museum?

A. We currently are not offering tours or audio guides for the general museum's permanent exhibits.

 

Q. Do you have a coat check?

A. We have a coat check that is $2 per item and is conveniently located on the first floor. Please note that the coat check is seasonal. It has closed for the season as of March 24, 2013. It will re-open in the fall.

 

Q. Is there a diaper changing station?

A. Most of our restrooms are equipped with changing stations. Please ask a TFI staff member upon arrival if the accommodations are needed.
