Science Presenter Volunteer Opportunity - FULL FOR SUMMER 2013
Science Presenters interpret and present hands-on, interactive cart activities to visitors and offer educational support in the museum's exhibits. Science Presenters will practice excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, and public speaking skills, while expanding visitor exposure to science learning. Interested applicants should be available to volunteer a minimum of 2 days per week throughout the summer, as well as attend the scheduled training sessions. Discovery Camp Counselor In Training (CIT) Volunteer Opportunity - FULL FOR SUMMER 2013
Discovery Camp is a co-ed summer day camp at The Franklin Institute. The goal is to get campers excited about science and to nurture their spirit of inquiry and discovery. Campers are grouped based on the grade or home-school level they are entering (typically Pre-K, K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8). CITs work directly with the campers in their classrooms, providing teaching support to the Camp Counselors and ensuring the physical and emotional well being of all campers.

Guest Services Exhibit Ambassador Volunteer Opportunity - FULL FOR SUMMER 2013
Interested individuals should enjoy working with the public and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Volunteers are stationed in exhibit halls to assist guests. They will greet guests, provide accurate directions throughout the Museum, have Museum Maps and Visitor Comment Cards to distribute, and politely remind children to not run and to take turns at exhibits. Interested applicants should be available to volunteer a minimum of 2 days per week throughout the summer
