Volunteer For the 2008 ASTC Conference

October 17-21, 2008

What is ASTC?

ASTC (The Association of Science-Technology Centers) is an organization of science centers and museums dedicated to furthering the public understanding of science among increasingly diverse audiences. Every year, ASTC sponsors a conference for those in the field to promote professional development & best practices. The Franklin is thrilled to host the 2008 ASTC Conference, where approximately 1900 attendees from around the world will attend workshops and events.

The 2008 ASTC Conference will require the diligent effort of hundreds of volunteers, who will provide support in many different capacities. These duties will bring most volunteers to the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and a few to The Franklin itself. The conference will provide interested participants the chance to support The Franklin Institute and the city of Philadelphia. This is a perfect opportunity for those who cannot commit to long-term volunteering.
