Spring Break Camp 2007
April 2 through 6 and April 9 through 13 9AM to 3PM
Students: Spend your Spring Break at The Franklin Institute doing science workshops and visiting your favorite exhibits! Five different science themes are offered. Spring Break Camp is for 6-13 year old students.
- Making Sense of Senses: April 2 and 9
Sight, sound smell, touch, and taste. How much do you know about your senses? Why do we need them and how are they related? Come find out how we (and creatures besides ourselves) sense and communicate. Focus: anatomy
- Ben for a Day: April 3 and 10
Everyone's favorite scientist (...ok, maybe just ours) was a very curious thinker! Invent, observe and find out what Ben knew about electricity, weather and "duck feet". Focus: invention
- CSI at TFI: April 4 and 11
Who doesn't love a good mystery? Use forensics science techniques to discover clues and process evidence. Focus: forensics
- Things that go Boom: April 5 and 12
Fizz, ooze, bang, pop, sizzle. Experiment with things that just can't keep themselves under control and explore the chemistry and physics behind them. Focus: chemistry
- Gross me out!: April 6 and 13
Play with all those things you aren't allowed to talk about. Curious about vomit? Snot? Owl Regurgitation? Come get grossed out. Focus: biology
