As always, brand new science themes are being offered to campers in grades PreK-6 in 2012! Come spend your break where science is messy and learning is a blast.

Spring Break Camp is a great way to enjoy the excitement of Discovery Camp while taking advantage of flexible daily rates, for as many days as you want or need! If you have always wondered what Discovery Camp is all about, Spring Break is a great time to find out!

2012 Themes


3/29/12 - Seeing Green (Pre-K - 1st grade only)
A special day for just our youngest campers; what small steps can you take to help the planet in a big way?

3/30/12 - Science of the Circus
Juggling, balance; flying through the air...when it comes to the circus...it's simply science!

4/2 or 4/9/12 - Design Zone
Take a fresh look at math through the lens of music, motion and much more.

4/3 or 4/10/12 - Hot & Cold
Temperature plays a big role when it comes to how matter behaves. Science so cool, it's hot.

4/4 or 4/11/12 - Amazing Machines
Use simple machines to design some not so simple contraptions. What will you build?

4/5 or 4/12/12 - Map it!
Explore how we use maps to remember and organize information and see if we can play a few tricks on our brain!

4/6 or 4/13/12 - Celebrate Science
In anticipation of the 2nd annual Philadelphia Science Festival running April 20-29, 2012, Discovery Camp will be celebrating with our favorite explosions, experiments and demonstrations.

Sample Daily Schedule

  • 8AM - Early Arrival Begins

  • 9AM - Sign In

  • 9:30AM - Welcome Activity

  • 10AM - Snack / Hands-On Workshop

  • 11AM - Exhibit Exploration

  • 12PM - Lunch

  • 1PM - Theater Show

  • 2PM - Hands-On Workshop

  • 3PM - Live Demonstration

  • 4PM - Camp Release

  • 5:30PM - Extended Departure Ends

We provide a snack and drinks. Campers will need to bring their lunch.
