Make your child's birthday party a sensational adventure in science!

The Franklin Institute's Party Packages can be customized to your child's interests by choosing one of our Science Interest Parties or a Specially Themed Party designed to complement one of our special traveling exhibitions. Party activities are perfect for children ages 4 to 11, but we are happy to celebrate with older or younger children as well.

NEW! Giant Mysterious Birthday Party!

The Giant Mysterious Dinosaurs have arrived! From December 10, 2011 through April 15, 2012, we will be offering a special dinosaur-themed birthday party that will include a hands-on fossil casting activity and touchable specimens. Take a journey through the Giant Mysterious Dinosaur exhibition for an unforgettable birthday experience at The Franklin Institute!*

*Because of time constraints, this party does not include a scavenger hunt.

All Party Packages include:

• General admission (not including specially ticketed exhibits)

• 1/2 hour set up time for the family

• Exclusive party room for 1 hour

• A film at the Tuttleman IMAX® Theater, Franklin (3D) Theater, or Fels Planetarium with a special welcome

• Make-and-take science activity for each child

• 2 parking vouchers good for 4 hours each in our garage.

Themed Science Activities:
Every child's science interest is a little different. Choose the one that he or she would most enjoy.

Alka Rockets - Make your birthday a blast with this easy and awesome rocket activity.
Snot - Your body makes a new batch every 20 minutes. Now you can make some to take home!
Stunt Planes - They dip and dive and show off the cool forces of flight.
Color Mixing Spinners - Build a cool spinning top to experiment with color mixing.

Special Option:
It's the COOLEST thing at The Franklin Institute and all new for our Birthday Parties! Now you can choose to add on our signature Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream for just $3.00 per person! Made with fresh ingredients and dramatically chilled right before your very eyes with super cold liquid nitrogen, it's a sweet treat and science demonstration wrapped into one! Please note that Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream must be ordered no later than the Wednesday before the party date due to the perishable nature of ice cream ingredients.

Theater Shows

Food
The party package does NOT include food, but you may bring your own food and cake into the party room. Food packages may be pre-ordered from our in-house caterer, starting at $7 a person, or local pizza shops.

Fees
