Q. How can I obtain images of The Franklin Institute?
A. First, please go to our image gallery to see if the image you're interested in is available online.
Q. How can I obtain an image that isn't part of the gallery?
A. Please contact the Public Relations department via e-mail. Include a detailed description of the image(s) you're requesting, what your usage would be, your publication's circulation, and your deadline.
Q. What is the proper credit line for Franklin Institute images?
A. Please credit all Franklin Institute images, "Courtesy of The Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, PA."
Q. What are your guidelines for shooting film, video, or still photographs?
A. We are always happy to accommodate these media requests. Please bear in mind that we are open to the public 7 days a week from 9AM until 9PM. Therefore, we must be careful at all times not to interfere with our visitors' experience at The Franklin Institute. This means that there will be foot traffic including adults and children (school groups often visit between 10AM-3PM weekdays) and varying degrees of noise and conversation. Weekends are not recommended for shooting purposes, especially during the Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs exhibition.
To inquire about a possible shoot, please submit the following details to us via email:
