Gallery Guides

During your visit to the exhibit, you may want to use a Gallery Guide to enhance your experience. There will be printed guides available for purchase at the entrance. Cost is $1.00. There are also two options for audio tours, each described below.

The Galileo Guide by Cell program features a series of recordings that complement the exhibit. The audio recordings average two minutes in length and can be accessed in any order via a local (area code 215) phone number posted throughout the exhibit. Access to the audio programs is free, but your standard cell phone rate plan costs apply. If you have a rate plan with limited minutes, be aware that the calls are using your minutes.

The Galileo Gallery Guides are audio programs produced by Derrick Pitts, The Franklin Institute's Chief Astronomer. You can download the recordings onto an mp3 player and bring it with you to the exhibit. The content of the general guide is the same as the cell phone tour, so you can look for the "Guide by Cell" signs in the exhibit to help you know where to look while you're listening.
